Symbols;

No one may push a button or activate a control unless they understand the consequence of their action.

Each vendor uses a library of symbols to identify controls. The following is a overview of those used in OEC 9800 mobile fluoroscopes. OEC 9900 symbols may vary.

	OEC 9800 WorkStation and C-Arm (Label): Alternating current. (AC)
	OEC 9800 WorkStation (Keyboard): Image Annotation: Permits image crop and the addition of markers and comments.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation and/or C-Arm: Anesthetic Proof Rating: Indicates degree of compliance (by component) with IEC 60601 Anesthetic Proof (AP) requirements. For the OEC 9800 C-Arm, the X-ray tube Assembly, the Image Intensifier bottle, and the mechanical components of the C-Arm are IEC 60601 requirements.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation and C-Arm: Attention: See accompanying Vendor documentation for important information on the item, component, function or application coinciding with the appearance of this symbol.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Equipotential Terminal: Indicates the Equipotential (Grounding) terminal on the C-Arm
	OEC 9800 WorkStation and/or C-Arm: Equipment Class: Type B equipment.
	OEC 9800/C-Arm/Footswitch/Handswitch: Switch to activate Ionizing radiation OR ionizing radiation present.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Locked: Indicates locked position of brake handle.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Unlocked: Indicates the unlocked position of brake handle.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Focus: Indicates the approximate position of the x-ray tube focus spot.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Fast-Stop: Indicates the position of fast stop switches.
	OEC 9800 C-Arm: Transport Position: Indicates that mechanical components must be returned to their most compact position prior to being moved.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation (Keyboard): Customize: Displays the Customize screen.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation (Keyboard): Patient Information: Displays the patient information screen for entering patient demographics.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation: Edge Enhancement: Image processing function allowing access to edge enhancement settings of live and Last-Image-Hold images.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation: Noise Filter: Image Processing tool to reduce image noise via various smoothing functions.
	OEC 9800 WorkStation: Zoom: Image manipulation tool permitting image review at magnified settings.
