Mechanical Risks
- Injury due to improper move or transport of equipment, including
- Trauma due to failure to secure moving components, especially the support column and C-Arc holding the Image Intensifier and Tube head in place,
- Trauma due to the C-Arm or Workstation tipping when moved on an incline greater than 10 degrees,
- Trauma due to the C-Arm or Workstation tipping because of caster failure ,
- Pinching or cuts due to improperly secured panels or system components ,
- Trip and fall due to non-optimal floor cable deployment ,
- Injury due to collision with the C-Arm during commanded or deranged movement of the vertical drive ,
- Injury due to improperly mounted cassette holding tray
- Injury due to contact with flying debris as a result of video monitor implosion (if a Cathode Ray Vacuum tube is the image display unit),
- Skin burning as a result of contact with the x-ray tube housing brought about by high tube heating (exacerbated if the housing is draped so that heat dissipation is inhibited),
