Response to Emergency Situations

Electrical Fire

• Follow Facility Policy and Procedure (R.E.A.C.T.) for fire;
  • Remove the patient,
  • Enclose the area,
  • Activate the Alarm ,
  • Call a fire code ,
  • Try to fight the fire by;
    • Powering down the unit from the workstation
    • Unplugging the AC power cord
    • Using a fire extinguisher rated for electrical class fire

Equipment Malfunction

• HIT THE EMERGENCY STOP BUTTON IF THE SYSTEM MOVEMENTS BECOME OUT OF CONTROL
• Report maintenance issues promptly,
