Electrical Risks

All electrically powered devices are dangerous if misused or abused. Some electrical risks of special note with this device:
  • Microcurrents ("leakage currents"); may be induced on metal components of this system. Leakage currents can be harmful to patients. Before attaching any electrical device to this system, ensure that it is compatible with the system and it will not increase the production and risk of leakage currents.
  • Environmental issues: There is risk of electric shock or equipment damage if condensation occurs within this unit because of rapid changes in temperature or relative humidity. Operate in an air conditioned environment between 18 - 28 degress Celsius, and between xxx and yyyy Relative Humidity (RH) non-condensating.
  • There is risk of injury or equipment damage if panels or covers are removed by untrained personnel,
  • There is risk of injury or equipment damage if conductive fluids are introduced into the electrical components.
  • There is risk of injury or equipment damage because of fire or explosion if this equipment is operated in the presence of compustable gases or fumes such as certain anesthetics, oxygen, and hydrogen,
