Operator Checks

Mechanical components should be smooth and easy to move. Instances of vibration, noise, friction. or signs of loose or sloppy movement ("excessive play"), may be indicative of a serious mechanical problem that needs immediate assessment by a qualified service agent.

Brakes may be tested by exerting moderate force against the locked component to ensure there is no slippage. Brake looseness or slippage could result in heavy components colliding with patient, staff or other objects - potentially causing injury or damage.

Check the following;
  1. The Wig-Wag movement (side-to-side) and brake,
  2. The Horizontal Cross-Arm movement (extend and retract) and brake,
  3. The Flip-flop movement, and brake,
  4. The C-Arm Orbital Rotation and brake,
  5. The L-Arm Rotation and brake,
  6. The Rear Wheel Brakes,
  7. C-Arm forward and reverse movement, and manoevering with the steering handle,
